    Help!

Added too much Calcium Chloride to my brew, so my Cl readings are coming now as 473.9 (harmful according to BrewersFriend). What should I do? Dump it? I've only now started to get into water profiles, so haven't got a firm grasp on doing it all properly. Thanks.

Whats your biggest gripe when bottling?

I always rinse my bottles after drinking, though not everybody who drinks my beer does. As a result I find myself cleaning the bottles out even when the majority don't need it, so stacking them on the bottle-tree-drainer-thing does my head in. I bought a drill bit bottle cleaner which I haven't...

Hi, I'm new here and would like to introduce my beer pouring channel

Probably as entertaining as watching videos of paint drying, but it might float some people's boats. Personally I don't get it.

    Buying malt in small quantities

I store my malt in the fridge though I'm not sure how long it remains fresh for after opening, but I've never had a problem.

    Grow your own hops?

By trellis, I mean your typical garden trellis.

    Grow your own hops?

I have quite a sun trap outside the back door, sheltered and west facing. I'll give it a shot! Though hops aren't traditionally grown on a trellis, would one work well to support the growth?

    Should I buy a grainfather

Yes, you should. If you can afford it, buy one. If you can't afford it, save up for one. They make life so much easier if you haven't got a lot of space.

    Grow your own hops?

The only downfall to living on the side of the North Sea is that it's always windy, but I can give it a bash for £4.99!

    Water analysis and treatment

Thanks mate. I'll look into this. I've recently moved, and never cared much about water treatment before, but since I've read more into it I've realised its importance.

    Water analysis and treatment

How do you get a water report? Do you just speak to your supplier?
