Really looking forward to getting this kit on the go. Was hoping to kick it off today, but unfortunately there were no instructions in the box, so it will wait until I have. The kit has got a lot of premium ingredients so I've high hopes of a damn good brew. It's my first go at a part grain...

Thanks, I figure it's a good compromise that is potentially a good way to add some of the finer flavours that I've not quite got from the extract kits. As much as anything it's a bit more to do on brew day to add to the enjoyment of the process. Seeing as I'm only missing the pan it's a cheap...

I've done two IPA's and two Amber Ales and fancy a really good Porter, anyone got a firm favourite? I've not got the kit for AG, so an extract kit or recipe would be appreciated. Thanks y'all.

Rekon you are about on the money there chap.

The Founders has been a lot of fun so far. Kit is as full as it sounds and the malt mixing made the house smell awesome. It started fermenting about six hours after adding the yeast and just got more and more active until it was being pushed out of the airlock, so much so that it needed tea...

That's full on! Thankfully she died down before that, but I was getting worried for a while. Smells pretty awesome still.

Thankfully it's slowed down, so less likely to cause beer wastage or divorce.
