    Here we go

I'm making the same today for the 2nd time. First time I converted it into a coffee stout last summer and it was lovely.

What's your least favourite thing about brewing?

It used to be bottling but 90% gets kegged now. So I would have to say finding enough uninterrupted time to brew. Family seem to put pay to more and more brew days of late.

Bottle conditioning a cold crashed beer

Hi guys. I normally keg all my beer but I have a 5 gallon batch to bottle for Crimbo presents. Unwittingly I cold crashed the beer as I often do and then began to wonder whether the bottles will carb having done this. What are your thoughts?

    Berliner Weisse concerns

So a few weeks ago I embarked on my first sour. After fermentation I didn't have a keg free and I can't stand bottling if I can help it. I did however have three demijohns available so I racked what I could into these and left the remainder in the FV in the fermentation fridge. 4 weeks on I...

    Elderflower witbier

So I don't have much time to do an AG batch this month and instead I have procured a Brewferm wheat beer kit. The reviews look good but I can't resist trying to pimp it. I'm thinking I will switch the packet yeast for Safbrew WB-06 and I'd like to add dried elderflower to the secondary. Does...

Broken pressure release valve on corny keg

All now appears to have resolved itself. I'll change the valve when the new one arrives, but touch wood I have a seal and my Pliny the Elder clone has been saved!

Broken pressure release valve on corny keg

That's interesting and gives me confidence. However I'm no chemist, but without a seal isn't it possible that O2 could displace the CO2?
