Newbie question again, bottled cider tonight and all good and tastes really nice but wondering where best place to store etc, did 5 litres of flat and about 20 of primed.
Hope my questions after this won’t be so stupid as really learned a lot on forum and looking forward to my next brew...
Asda pressed juice 20 litres topped up with water to 25 and just cider yeast think 7g And 5 tsp Pectolase and 5 teabags in mug of water stewed for 10 mins. ( obviously removed bags) bubbler on.
25 L Turbo cider been in 30L FV for 9 days, started at 1048 and now no more bubbles and at 1000, tasted it and not much flavour but I’m ok With it for first batch, how long do I leave It before racking so it settles.
Does adding the priming sugar before bottling just add fizz to bottles or does it sweeten the cider as well as trying to work out what to do when I rack it before bottling if Its very dry.
any advice help appreciated.
Thanks for advice,I was following a recipe in cider section on forum but will lessen sugar at racking stage after reading the advice I have got from members on forum, 262 grammes For 25 litres and see how that goes.
It is turbo I’m making and I will rack into clean fv in about 12/14 days I think, how long do you think it might need to clear after transfer before I add sugar.
Started first brew with supermarket pressed juice last night and got SG of about 1048, started to bubble after about 10 hrs So now it’s a waiting game, do I have to check SG again or wait until bubbles stop Before racking. If I do what’s the easiest way to not add contamination as I kept tap for...
Thinking about doing my first batch of turbo cider, can I ask if I need Camden tablets if it is a supermarket pressed juice or will it be ok without. I’m following the one forum and tabs not mentioned.
any help appreciated.
