    Brewnight: Spiced Apple WOW

Ok so it seemed crystal when I bottled it but chills to a very hazy thing Taste... hmm if the missus didn't think it was OK 'but with a slightly odd taste' I would probably consider jettisoning it. I think I maybe overdid the spicing a little, although it seemed reasonable at the time, and in...

Second lot of finings went in a week ago and it's clearing super slowly, maybe 1/5 from the top so far, but moving down gradually.... Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    TC's - Decent Carbing...

Evening all I don't tend to keep my TC's on the go before enjoying them, but had a few disappointments recently with underfizzy brews (which is a pita, after putting lots of time and effort into concocting a brew !) So... I've more or less settled on the ideal amount of priming sugar for what...

"Super" Yeast - Not That Super!

Maybe just bad luck fella I've used the youngs super wine yeast compound on my last dozen or so 25L batches of WOW that are usually round about 13% (by design) and never a stall, or failure to ferment out to 0.990 If it's been a few of yours that haven't done the biz, why not post up what...

    First time at Cider brewing.

I would thought that it would be OK, sealed and with Campdens - hopefully you've had your yeast by now and it's all systems go ?

    Sanitisation and water...

I used to use VWP to sanitise, and then have to rinse, like you nowadays, so long as I'm cleaning my FV's as soon as I'm done with them (so they don't get dried on crud), I'll use a StarSan solution too. I'm sure it's like 5ml per litre or something, so a bottle of that stuff goes a long way...

    Lidl Turbo cider

I would call anything sub 10% abv cider (I made a 9%+ rocket fuel variety by mistake once when I got my sums wrong) The results when drinking it like normal cider.. eg by the pint, weren't pretty haha Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
