Hi all, I have 2 x Muntons Hand Crafted kits on their way to me (Winter warmer and American IPA) I haven't tried any of the Muntons kits before, but have read some poor reviews of their standard/included yeasts Any recommendations for yeast replacements on these specific kits? Cheers Alan

The instructions say to just put them into the wort directly (at Phase 2) and then use the provided mesh bag as a filter for your syphon. Surely it would just be easier to use the bag as a hop...

Thanks everyone for the insights. Its not as clear-cut as I had hoped, but it would seem the consensus is to go the AIO route! So a BrewMonk will probably be coming home in the coming months :-)

@the baron thanks for that interesting thought - never occured me to embrace the seasons in that way with yeast. Ive never tried kveik yet, but its on my to-do-list. Here, its 20c-25c+ in summer and anyting down to -20 in winter in southern Finland :-) . My store room (where I brew is heated...

Thanks for all the tips folks... I think it will come down to the Coopers Original or the Festival (mainly ive read a lot of good feedback on the Festival kits in general, and have yet to try one) @Clint: Thanks for that blowoff tube tip also !

Not that this helps with the massivehead issue, but on the priming topic i've tried the drops, those little measured teaspoons and batch priming and to be honest batch gives the best result every time.... easiest way to control your sugar content exactly and frankly the easiest to do also....
