    Whats everyone drinking?

Trying out some cans ready for Glastonbury next weekend, they were all very good but Capt BIPA by Ruhstaller was head and shoulders abover the rest. Bit of a shame as it was about twice the price too

Grain bill for a black IPA

I'm not certain when I'm going to get to try brewing a BIPA now but I had a can of this yesterday: http://ruhstallerbeer.com/beer/capt-california-black-ipa/ and it was real nice and pretty much exactly what I would like to brew myself so I'm going to try to get some tips from them. Have you had...

Simcoe & Citra AIPA PLEASE HELP

I like a bit of crystal in my IPAs, I usually add a bit of munich, vienna or wheat (about 5-10%) to give head retention/body and then half as much crystal too to give it a little sweetness. If I was you, I'd be tempted to reduce the 60 minute addition and increase the 15 minute additions (or...

Grain bill for a black IPA

Will do. I've decided I'm going to cold steep the chocolate and carafa overnight and add the steepings (is that even a word?) at the start of the boil to keep the flavours really subtle and avoid too much acidity. Hope yours comes out well, definitely keep me updated:cheers:

    Pilsner lager recipe required

I have a friend who used the all grain recipe on here: https://byo.com/stories/issue/item/2283-czech-style-pilsner It came out well (apparently, I never got to try it) although I'm not certain if he maintained the low temperature for the full 60 days, it was probably more like a month. I...

Grain bill for a black IPA

Cheers, that does look like a good recipe. If I lived by Partizan I'd be a very poor man, fortunately for my wallet (and liver) trips to Bermondsey are pretty rare for me. I actually e-mailed Partizan to try and get some hints but they weren't giving anything away about their recipes...

Grain bill for a black IPA

So I visited the Partizan brewery at the weekend and had their black IPA and it was really lovely. Got me thinking about some of the other black IPA's I've tried and how much I like them so I think I should probably have a go at making one myself. I've got my hops sorted (chinook, citra and...

First all grain recipe, a NZPA

I'm thinking of trying my hand at an all grain brew and I'm really interested in using a bunch of New Zealand hop varieties. So! This is what I'm looking at, let me know what you reckon Reckon that should be pretty damn tasty :drink:

ALL GRAIN - Mosaic Single Hop American Amber

Hmm, it'll have to go on the shopping list then. I want to try a bunch of NZ hops as I've been really enjoying partizan's wakatu pale ale so might have to wait til I've done that

ALL GRAIN - Mosaic Single Hop American Amber

Haha, nice! I'd love to know how this turns out, been thinking of trying mosaic in a pale ale, read quite a few sites which say it has a mango-ish taste, bet that's bloody great.

Anyone Suffered Flooding During the Recent Bad Weather??

I live in Guildford and drove back from Southampton with me mum and dad yesterday, part of the A31 was closed so we had to go down some waterlogged country roads, I was pretty shocked by the extent of flooding round Surrey. Fortunately, my house is well out of it and all we had to contend with...

Anyone Had To 'Buy In' For Christmas??

That was my brother's choice, I'm looking forward to trying a sip or two. He's a Londoner and I think he'd be dead jealous if he saw your kernel, he's missing it quite badly
