Rumour? is Wilko's going into administration?

I guess it will take a while for the administrators to work out what to do, but if they don’t start selling quickly they won’t have much to sell apart from a name and some stock. I just had a look on their website and nothing is available for delivery. I’m guessing Munton’s et al will be owed...

CO2 suppliers near Lake District please

Lakeland Bottled Gas - based in Lindale. https://lakelandbottledgas.co.uk £25 for a 10 litre refill. Free delivery in area. Due to arrive Friday. I'm paying £65 including the deposit on the bottle. They seem nice chaps. They set up to diversify during pandemic.

CO2 suppliers near Lake District please

Hi Folks I took the plunge and have moved over to a (23l) Cornelius Keg. I am in the process of force carbonating my first batch. I have the ODL premium regulator with soda stream attachment. I need to pop out to Lakeland and get my soda stream bottle refilled (swapped empty for full). It...

How many units per week. [POLL]

I have found that 40 pints brewed and put in the pressure barrel lasts much less time than the same brew bottled into 50 odd 500 ml bottles. There is something about two empty 500ml bottles that makes you stop and think about opening a third. Whereas it is very easy to top up your pint glass...

    Jeremy Hunt v Boris Johnson.

And a bit like a game of darts, the loser should be able to say “best out of three?”!!

    Liquoring back question

Hi Gerryjo Thanks for the link. I have 5 litres. With the calculator do I input my OG?

    Liquoring back question

Hi Folks Advice needed on watering down my ginger beer before bottling. Basically I chucked loads of sugary stuff in the boil - lime marmalade, orange marmalade and some brewing sugar, plus lots of ginger and some chilli. OG was 1.070 (!!!) and FG 1.002, so we are looking at something...

    Jeremy Hunt v Boris Johnson.

I reckon Boris will walk it. Hunt has a very bad rep with NHS/social care. I don’t reckon Boris will do Brexit by end October, if at all.... just lots of platitudes and promises. Whatever happens he will say he’s done brilliantly. Talk of a Boris/ Farage pact makes me a little bemused. I...

    Low alcohol Pilsner

Well, it has way pretty well. Lots of taste, still a little alcohol, but much better than most low alc beers.

    Low alcohol Pilsner

Cheers Dutto! Hopefully I will remember they key written on the lids - L=Low M=medium and FS =full strength when I come to drink them. Although now I come to think about it, twist them around an L becomes V and M becomes W and my Ss look more live 5s!

    Low alcohol Pilsner

Just bottled 40 pints of pils, which was a Coopers kit, tweaked by the addition of a little fresh chilli in the fv. I had decided to experiment with low alcohol, so I heated about 10 pints and simmered (never coming to the boil or approaching it) at 80-85C until all the alcohol smell and taste...

Is it safe to drink unclear beer.

Okay so this is a very old thread, but I am ¾ of the way through my last pint in the keg of Wherry. It looks like cold tea. No head. But great flavour and mouth feel. I pretend that I am being a London hipster drinking my fashionable unfixed cloudy craft ale.
