Having a clear out and as I will no longer need this, as we no longer have apple trees, its kit form from now on for brewing so this mite aswell go. It wored well with an air gun aswell. Just lazy way to use it lol.

I have just taken this pic after a week in second ferm and was wondering if it has, what i wold think are bits of apple that have got in there.

Well here we have it, the finished fruit press. I cant do anything normal so i made it Pneumatic with the help f my compressor and a new windy gun, my old one has rusted to one solid block due not being looked after so a good excuse to get a new one.
The Jack is from a Peugeot or Citroen van...
And you thin they will be pressing all them with free cider on tap lol.

A year or so ago i made a strawberry cider using 4x concentrated strawberry juice and it was a dam fine tipple, just by chance i found it in Morrisons but now unable to find it.
Anybody know where i can get hold of some, i got a 1/2l bottle and added half to a DJ.

Small update as had a lot on today
I found a baking tray for the drip tray and a perfic fit. this will be sat on 18mm ply base. the old ally inner stew pot is 2cm smaller in diam, so a nice fit and i have found a few 16l that will fit alos and will get one soon.

Just using what i have to hand for this one. I have two bottle jacks but 10 ton, a bit OTT for this.
I am thinking on making a SS press with 240v hyd ram. Be fun to build.
Anyway i have started the press today, mite do a bit more tomorrow.

Since i posted this i decided to do a srap heap challenge fruit press. Got some gear together and i mite start this weekend, i will make i though so at first i will use the scissor jack and then if i want later i will go to the Trapezoidal Lead Screw type.
I am after a fruit press and i am able to make one fairly easy enough either screw or hydraulic, but for speed and ease i am considering one of these but in a 6l for now as not sure how good they are, cheap rubbish that dont last long ? or worth the money ? which i see is not much and i can...
