Has anyone brewed a summit only ale? I've got few hundred grams of them but a little nervous of creating some kind of bitter monster as the AA is 16.2%! Was thinking of 20g at 60mins but that would give me 40+ ibu alone.

Hi, Anyone here use gas burners for the brewing AND use the weldless tap fitting with the rubber seals? I'm worried the outside one will melt as the SS heats up.

Planning a SMaSH brew this weekend, any one used either Topaz or Motueka hops? Topaz is 15% AA Motueka is 8% AA

Brewing a pale ale ish beer today. The mash is on but not decided on the hops yet, got these to chose from. Think i'll put the chinook in at 60min given i've only got 8g if them.

only problem is i cant decide what to brew! Think i have too much choice....

Hi, This sounds stupid in my head but can't work out the answer.... I'm attaching ball taps to my boiler today, they have rubber O rings to form the seal, question - i use gas to heat and the metal pots get very hot, will the rubber seals take the heat? Thanks, Mark

Morning all, Looking at better drainage options for my mash tun. Currently got a small all copper pipe for use as filter/drain. I do have more copper pipping but no copper elbow or T joints, however I have plenty of the plastic plumbing ones - could these be used in the mash? Anyone used...

The description of this is 'This is a blended malt made with 50% Maris Otter and 50% Pale Ale malt.' I'm having a case of the dumb :doh: - can some explain to me the basic difference between MO and PA malts? Thanks in advance Mark
