Looks like Angel Homebrew are going to beat him to it! http://www.angelhomebrew.co.uk/en/measurement-and-testing/313-tilt-hydrometer-and-thermometer.html
That's definitely going on my Xmas list!
Do I need it?
Nah.Managed 40 years of brewing with a standard hydrometer.
Do I want it?
Oh...
I'm getting 17.5Mb/sec on my Talk Talk 'Faster Fibre' 38Mb/s deal, but it fluctuates between 11 and 18Mb/s, which is well down on the 35Mb/s I used to get from it. Currently in the middle of a complaints procedure with them.
It's not that they have a two-year shelf life, rather that, like any pressure vessel, they need testing every so often. In the case of the Fermentasaurus the recommendation is every two years. (If you never use the pressure kit then this can be ignored.)
The manufacturer explains it all here...
What a brilliant idea! People have been fermenting in corny kegs for yonks, but this takes it to the next level. Too small for me, but as you say perfect for those who brew smaller batches.

I've never used leaf gelatine as the powder is dead easy to handle and there's no poncing about. Just open the sachet, pour it into some warm water and stir to dissolve. This is the powdered gelatine I buy from my local supermarket (Tesco)...
It may be old school to some, but it works so why not do what many do and prime / fine at the same time?
These days I tend not to add finings, preferring to let time do its thing, but if I need a beer to drop bright quickly (within 2 to 4 days), over the last 35 years of brewing I've always had...
