Almost finished! - Citra Smash started at 0430am

Todays brew day was the first since before xmas. Back to basics. A simple smash which is almost ready to go into the fermenter. Early start thanks to economy 7 tariff. I've called it "Revolution" in contempt of todays proceedings. What's the consensus on adding boiling water to the boil to...

How did this work out? Id like to try similar as all the ingredients appeal but I dont want to get such a high ABV.

    Hello from a newbie

Greetings. I bottled about 3 brews then went onto corny kegs x2 as Im lazy and CBA with the 40 odd bottle malarkey. Im a lot happier with kegging as long as I don't have gas dramas. I also prefer a clearer brew without sludge. But Im still new to it all.

What do you stand your Kettle /Brewzilla / Grainfather /Brewtools etc on?

I have a very sturdy giant mechano type work bench. It works well as its got storage and drawers - in my garage. Only down side is I have to rig up a heath robinson hosepipe affair for cooling the wort. After about 6 brews in I now have it mastered as long as I don't "drink and brew!"

The Belgian blonde is superb in colour and clarity. I do think ive got an aftertaste to it but on the whole Im happy. My pal loves it. So the quicker he finishes it the better. I had 3.5 pints of the Hughes IPA on friday while he enjoyed the Belgian I brewed, and I cant remember going to...

    Corny keg cleaning

Having just emptied my first ever keg (of beer that is) Which was a total success, Ive literally 1/3 filled with hot water. Rinsed out. Filled again then shook. The pressure inside forces water up the liquid out post if you press the centre post with your thumb nail. I plan to rinse and sanitise...
