white wine clear, then cloudy, then clear again

If you chill the wine long enough, the haze should vanish. It's caused by protein in the wine, sounds scary but nothing to worry about 😉

    experimental brew

Cheers clibit! Think I'll drop the admiral to 15g or 20g and up the wheat to 300g. I'll prob keep the crystal to balance out the bitterness and the dry hopping. I like a strong flavourful beer (less bottles to wash)

    experimental brew

I'm thinking challenger at either 20 mins or flame out. Then poss dry hop with both. Do you think 150g or 250g would be better? Many thanks :-)

    Coopers Cerveza Review

I'll be making this up today with shmbo. Think its funny that most kits only need brewing sugar and this one calls for coopers no.2 or it turns out poo! I'll be using plane old Tate n lyle with this and adding a vanilla pod. I know it'll be thin on taste so I may add lime or chilli when bottled...

    Re: Wilko's Delicate Pilsner

SG is down to 1010 and still fizzing away nicely. Had a very sneaky taste when I was checking and tastes really nice, still yeasty as you'd expect but not really sweet. Tasted a little like hoegaarden. A couple more days and I'll add some finings. Can't wait!!

    Re: Wilko's Delicate Pilsner

I've just started this kit, forgot the brewing sugar on our weekly shop so substituted it with 2kgs Tate an Lyle :-P. I'm normally a wine or stout drinker, and a citrus larger now and then is kinda nice, and I've read on here that this kit makes a brill base for that. Start SG is 1052 so should...

    Hello Everyone.

Hi Kieran,I'm new to brewing as well and finished my first kit a week or so ago. I went for the coopers stout,a chap at work raved about it. I used 1kg of brewing sugar, 1/2kg of Munson's enhancer and a tin of treacle. All I can say is wow! Tastes great and getting better every day.
