    Leaking tap

It's a standard 5 gallon ballihoo PB, not sure of the size of tap as yet so will have to check. looks a good idea Fil & will give it a try if all sizes correct, not sure if I would get away with a major leak in the new extension if it leaks a lot next time, so fingers crossed it would save me...

    Leaking tap

Well all appeared to be going well until I got home from work today to find it leaking again, took the replacement tap off & this one has split as well... I won't usher the words here that come out of my mouth with that discovery! As I have no spare I have put the tap back in & kept it on its...

    Leaking tap

Thanks for the replies, I removed the tap & descovered it was split, something I presume was there from the start but got worse over time (note to self: check the tap closely before each use). Thankfully I got a spare barrel a couple of weeks ago so took the tap off that, popped in some more...

I'm supping from the barrel not the bottles! I think I will do Woodfordes Nog or Muntons old conkerwood next.

Will do pedgey, brew still a bit cloudy so may give it another week or so. If I can hold out that long. :-D

    Wherry- my first brew.

Just had another sneaky tipple, much improved in only a few days. Darker & stronger taste, good head retention. think it will make a cracking pint in a couple of weeks, looking forward to supping the beer from the bottles I made in the summer as should be very tasty by then!

    Wherry- my first brew.

I got a brew kit for Xmas & wherry is my first brew. I had a stuck fermentation, kept in the FV two weeks, batch primed & bottled 12 with the rest in barrel. Bottles two weeks inside & then will (try) to keep them a couple of months at least before touching. Barrel 10 days warm (kept in outhouse...
