    Secondary or not ?

I have only done it once (today oddly enough) and it's because I'm putting vanilla in this stout and I wanted it off the yeast first, dunno why mind just thought a fresh bucket may help.

    Dementia Tax.

i don't normally bother with any politics and i tend to skim over the bullet points of both but this time there there is only one thing i noticed and that is labour has a mad plan to spend billions (if there maths is right this time:) ) and they want to pay for this by sticking a load into...

    cornie/crusader keg heights

i have been measuring fridges to peoples odd looks so far and the fridges without the ice boxes seem to have up to 77cm head space, its the compressor bulge in the bottom that's the issue on some. 30l crusader? not seen that and it seems really short! the 20l from what i have read is about 590mm?

    cornie/crusader keg heights

hi. i will finally be getting back into brewing shortly after a move and real life getting in the way but the one thing i was hoping to avoid this time is the bottling! so for this attempt i was thinking of the under counter fridge approach with a couple of 20l kegs in them. after...

my first ag brew diddnt turn out well

I dont know really, I think its just that in a hobby like this I love learning why things happen as the reaults of what I do now wont be tasted for a few weeks, so if something happens and the temprature drifts while mashing I dont need to worry that much like it will ruin the batch. im going...

Thank you for those temps, I have three thermometers, a stc1000, a digital cooking thermometer and a analogue dial thermometer, I am going to test all three of them this weekend jn a pan of water to see if there is a massive problem with one of them giving me a duff reading last time. As I...

my first ag brew diddnt turn out well

Thank you for the reply all, I agree now I think about it, I should have left it longer before bottling, I got caught up in the fun of it all I suppose :) It's good to hear it may pull back with a bit of age, but the first attempt can't go perfect I suppose lol. On the mash temp front what is...

Thank you for the welcome, a am going to try all grain I think as even though I'm learning as i go at least I can control what's going in, I have ordered a kit with a electric boiler and cool box, I still have my fermenting bucket from my attempt years ago so less to buy. One thing I...
