My wilko barrel glugged and stopped pouring after 2 pints. I've almost finished it off now but how do I stop this happening again? I have vaselined the top cap. Where is air escaping?

I have Brewed a wherry and given it six weeks secondary ferm. I had six bottles and rest in a barrell. Bottles came out nice and carbonated. Barrel flat. Thus I have vaselined the top screw and checked seal. I have re added sugar and left in a warm place but no carbonation. What should I do...
