    London attack.

In my opinion all religions are a collection of bad ideas. There are plenty of examples of violence against non-believers from all religions across the world. There are certain parts of Christian america where declaring your an atheist is down right dangerous. There are hundreds of examples of...

    Alpha Acids and Hop Flavour

Indeed they can, generally bittering hops tend to have subtle flavors and a low amount of aromatic oils. As a result when they're used early in the boil most of the flavors and aromats get boiled off leaving a 'clean' bitterness.

    Alpha Acids and Hop Flavour

Now, i could be wrong on this so more learned home brewers please correct me...but... Bitterness comes from the alpha acid content Flavor and aroma comes from the hop oil content As a boil continues more alpha acids are extracted from the hops and more oils are boiled off, hence why most...

What other hobbies do you have?

American Football is my big passion outside of homebrewing. When i was a younger man i played, even a couple of years at the highest level in the country (but i was very much a squad player, found my level when i dropped down a division). I retired when my daughter was born, but i took up...

    Your Favourite non-brew Related Book?

Friday Night Lights - H.G Bissinger A story about highschool american football in small town Texas during the late 80s. Inspired a film and tv series of the same name. A fantastic read and i'm always astounded how the shoulders of these 17 and 16 year olds carried the hopes and dreams of the...

New World Hops for Belgian Styles

Hello all, I'm wanting to make a Belgian style beer and wondering what hops from New Zealand or America would go best with it. I realize that this won't be 'to style' but i'm after an interesting hop flavor that won't be masked by the saison or trappist style yeasts (I had considered using...

Does this sound like an infection?

Did it have a sort of 'puckering' quality to it? Almost like a sourness but not quiet? (i don't think i'm articulating what i want to say well). Also what it your sparging technique?

    Hey from Get 'er Brewed

This kind of thing annoys the **** off me. I work in web application development and trimming whitespace off the end of inputs should be routine and straightforward. string.Trim(); easy peasy.
