    Due to continued ill health and abstaining i got the missus to try and get a bottle of Nanny State to try out.Tesco sold out so she grabbed a Franziskaner weeissbier. Not a great fan of wheat beer but it wasn't terrible,had worse. Oh for a proper beer!:beer1:

    I no longer do kits but re hydrate my yeasts and find a much quicker start up,so easy as well.

    WILKO STOUT TWEAK?

    Did a Wilko stout way back with added black treacle,around a quarter tin along with some dark brown sugar plus a hop tea made with willamette hops and brewed short. Came out quite well. Watch the black treacle amounts,don't go bonkers with it.

    Holland and Barrett Liquid Malt - Half Price Offer

    I use the 454 grm jars of h and b for partial mashes and grab em when on offer and never had a problem with it,also used the potters which is a lot darker,good for stouts etc.

    Guess some might be unsuitable,what you got? Have done a single hop challenger and a bramling x both were nice.

    Youngs bitter generally has very little head and might well shock some of those used to a whacking great foamy head. Otherwise that's about it !
