    scaling down recipes

    I got bought the Greg Hughes book 'home brew beer' and was wondering if there is a reliable way/rule of thumb to scale the recipe's down to a gallon. Cheers for any advice.

    As there are a lot of hawthorn berries in the hedgerows at the moment,just wondering, as you can make wine and fruit leather with them, has anyone used them as a beer ingredient (biab)
