Which is the best merlot wine kit

Fine straight away but probably a bit better after a couple of weeks. Six months later I think it's just the same. Lash into it.:beer1: The two Beaverdale kits we have tried and stuck to are very smooth and easy to drink. Some may prefer a more acidic wine but not us. athumb..

Screw-on tap for Bulldog Brews beer bag.

They make a very handy sized wine bag with the addition of a screw-on tap. I have tried to get these lately but came up blank. Anyone know where they can be bought? I got them before but have forgotten where.:tinhat:

Which is the best merlot wine kit

My wife swears by the Beaverdale Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. She's the expert, I just make it! Can anyone tell me where I can purchase screw-on taps to fit the bulldog brew beer bags. I got them before but have forgotten where. doh! Searched everywhere but no joy.

St Peters Ruby Red Ale review

Terry, can you recommend a red kit that you thought was good?

St Peters Ruby Red Ale review

I added 20g. Northern Brewer and 20g. Citra one week in. It tastes smooth to me. The carbonation is a bit high compared to what I got with 200g. in Evil Dog, just right.

St Peters Ruby Red Ale review

Using the recommended levels of priming sugar did not produce sufficient carbonation. The problem was worse using mini kegs and a king keg. Big head and no fizz. I use 30 litre buckets fitted with a 100w. aquarium heater at 22 deg. Don't use a 50w. as it will float and not work.

St Peters Ruby Red Ale review

I shorted this to 21 litres and added 400g. dextrose. 1.048 to 1.006. I have just tested one after a week conditioning (200g. dextrose) and it's feckin lovely. My first three attempts at a red ale were failures.

    Bulldog Strawberry Pale Ale

When I first tasted it I thought the flavour was far too strong, but after a month it mellowed out and will probably be a nice summer drink.

    Lots of foam, no fizz.

I am going to try the King keg again. The safety valve does not allow the pressure to exceed 6.5 psi. Can someone suggest a kit that would carbonate well at that pressure. I have been getting good results using 200g. dextrose when bottling 40 pint Bulldog kits. I worked up from 140g. and...

    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

I set this up again today. It's the best out of my 8 initial kits. I added 20+20 citra and pacific jade and will add the other 2 at the end. I also shorted it to 21 litres as I like a very strong gargle. I did the bad cat but it turned out very flat and low on flavour in comparison. Getting...

    Lots of foam, no fizz.

I managed to spill half the bad cat on the shed floor by leaving the tap open on the bottling bucket. 18 bottles left and the best smelling shed this side of heaven:angry: I did a little experiment with the KK. I added a pressure gauge to 15psi. I set up a fake brew with some sugar, a pound of...

    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

I slavishly followed the instructions and made the tea. But if I dont have to, then I wont bother either.

    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

Be honest. It wasn't the bikes fault. I have finally arrived at a shadow 750 after downsizing over the last 10 years. Don't get me wrong. I intend using this kit a lot in the future. Just had 3 and it's deffo a keeper:thumb:

    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

2 weeks in FV, 2 weeks priming and it tasted great straight away in spite of a haze below 14 deg. I had one last night for research purposes and I think the aroma has faded quite a bit, 5 weeks in total since bottling. I'll definitely add more hops next time. I saw Easy Rider in 1970 and it...

    Bulldog, Evil Dog Double IPA

I bottled this a few weeks ago after following the instructions to the letter. I'm not an IPA fan, I made it for my son but guess what? He's not getting it all . Lovely, lovely beer.:thumb: I now have its red brother, Bad Cat bubbling away.

    Lots of foam, no fizz.

The mini situation is petering out as I have opened the last one and will finish it as the beer is still drinkable(it is wet and has alcohol:grin:). The king keg will be gone over Christmas. I have Bad cat red cooking and I will take great care with it after Christmas. 20 bottles and two mini...

    Lots of foam, no fizz.

12g per mini. I chilled them to about 6 deg in the fridge. How do you vent them? I presume that is releasing pressure? I am pouring very slowly and carefully.
