I just plug my fridge into the heating side of the inkbird. Save messing around changing settings athumb.. fridge is turned on permanently as inkbird tries to heat the fridge up.

I imagine the recipe your thinking without hops will just give you a nice dry stout that im sure will be very drinkable ! Hops wise i have never had campden ink myself so cant really give any advice on flavours but if it was me i would just bang 25g of each in and see how it goes !!

Well they reckon stout gets better the more months you leave it ! You never know those cacao nibs might blend in later down the line ;-)

Cheers pete. Better late than never . Not opened the pack yet but the last lot i had was in a teabag of sorts. Those little strainer things look good! Think gonna do the dry hop with some muslin or maybe get one of those fancy little strainers ! But if all else fails ill do the hop tea haha ...

Thanks for clearing that up folks . Could never understand why people left it in primary so long when most kits say 4-6 days ! All confusing stuff for an amateur ! The hop pellets that i have come sealed in a foil bag so im thinking the (teabag) they are in will be ready to just drop in . So...

Cheers clint Would you still leave it 2 weeks even if you get 3 consecutive grav readings after lets say a week ? This always confuses me as my brews seem to have fermented out within a week? By dry hop do you mean just drop the pellet teabag in the fermenter as it is ?

I If it was me i would substitute it for the amount of sugar you would put in per liter. E.g 1 flat teaspoon per liter for a stout . That way you can be sure not to overdo it as you dont get more sugary than pure sugar !! Probably too late of reply now though !
