Did you degas it? Seems to clear a bit slower if you don't. Usually a week with 72 hour finings or a month or 5 weeks without. If you don't degas it, it seems to take a fiar nit longer p.s. - This is only my observation of my brews. Could be a complete fluke.

OK - I like your quality control. At the very least it explains why 6 or 7 gallons frequently fits into a single 75cl bottle after sufficient racking. Someone mentioned stockpiling. Using said quality control, I guess I would need to be starting 21 gallons a day if we drink one or two bottles a...

Those big white screwtop FV's are really badly calibrated. I've just bottled one that was full to the neck with FGB. Should be about 30l? I only filled 13 2l PETS, so 4l has got lost in the bottling process. :hic: p.s How come it is so hard to type after bottling? p.p.s - Hic p.p.p.p.p.s...

Tesco has lemonade in 2l PET's for 18p a bottle. I use the lemonade with the (inadvertent) over strength FGB for fizz and sweetening, then bottle into the empties.

The important thing there is to use a full bottle in a fight....... seems like a bit of a waste of beer. Drink the beer and use a shotgun, or find a nicer place to drink.
