    So say i add the brewing sugar, which the box says will do it my beer at 4.4% should I also add the carbonation drops to the bottle or does the brewing sugar add the fizz?

    That’s the plan, get a few kits under my belt before further experimentation, but on this kit it says ‘add the contents of the yeast sachet (and sweetener if you have it)’? Personally I do like a bit of sweetness if my beer but I don’t want to ruin it.

    It’s Mangrove Jacks New Zealand Brewers Series Pilsner, the box contains malt extract and yeast. I bought brewing sugar as I thought this might add to the flavour and also help the finished product keeps its head?
