    Heat Source Pumps.

My concern is not so much the house heating but the hot water heating, as they run better at low temperatures can they / how good are they at providing grief free hot water at wife requirement quantities. Edit - typo

    Heat Source Pumps.

It's a bit late in the year now but if you want to gauge if your pipes / radiators are good enough to switch to a heat pump try turning the boiler temperature (not your wall thermostat) down to the usual heat pump temperatures (40C but can go up to 50C) and see how your rooms fayre. Be aware...

    Sunday.

Tinned mixed fruit or peaches covered with evaporated milk. A good Sunday would include a slice of bread to soak up the juice / milk with.

Alas, it is one of those sites that suck you in! I'm a sucker for the sci-fi tees. Some are very subtle.

Here's a link, there is a whole market for movie related Tees. A year or so back all the 'cool kids' were wearing LETN Tees - Brian Cox, Dara O'Brien plus lots of other comedians. Seems to have died back down now. Die Hard apparel

    smart meters

Bottom line - it doesn't I'd say. It can make you more aware of your usage, especially with an indoor doo-hickie showing current (pun intended) usage. Using that line to get you to change is not a fair statement in my book.

LETN (Last Exit To Nowhere) is a tee shirt company that specialises in movie based tees. One of the tees sold has the same wording and relates to Die Hard (is it a Christmas movie? - big discussions) Just a bit of meta reference I guess.

Leave in FV or Rack to Keg?

Yeah, don't rush things. As Baron says, let everything tidy up and settle down.

    smart meters

@Benfleet Brewery I was with SSE who were a decent operator. Ovo took my FiT over and are gits for holding on until the last legal week before paying. I ensure I always supply a reading on April 1st irrespective of when they ask for the quarterly reading to ensure as close to correct rates as I...

    smart meters

They are not hidden, there are just a lot of options to go through. But they are only open to users that can do ToD (time of day) metering. I feel that I'm becoming an power company apologist in this thread, I'm not - they are all money gouging b'stards. I just spent time and jump through...

    smart meters

I have the original government fit rate, 60p+ generation plus 4p (ish) assumed export. I got in early. Though they are buggers for payment delays.

    smart meters

I guess it is down to the customer to hunt through the public offerings to find the best for them? As long as they are listed it a user problem....

    smart meters

You do need a smart meter to access some of the newer tariffs sadly. And the tariffs are tilting in favour of the suppliers. I used to be on economy 7 - 7 hours overnight at cheap rate, back from the days of storage heating I think. The closest I can get is 4 hours cheap overnight. (for a given...

Marking perspex/acrylic tubing - anyone have any advice?

Night and day. The old system was a DIY HERMs combo. The real real estate needed, cleaning speed and temperature control is vastly improved.

Marking perspex/acrylic tubing - anyone have any advice?

Just trusted the jug to be honest, I didn’t consider the diameter of the tube vs the diameter of the vessel warranted any better accuracy. I’ve gone G40 now anyway 😆
