    I don't use a lid just a clean towel over my FV. never had a problem.

    The trick to bottle cleaning is to wash in hot water after use, then they only need a sanitise before bottling, and store them dry in boxes between use. this is what i do and it works every time.

    well thanks for an answer, just so happens its only happening with the screw thread bottles, so maybe theyre a bit wider.

    Hi all. don't usually post in the wine section but here goes. don't know if im doing something wrong when bottling but some of my corks pop out of the bottle when corking. anyone know why, does it happen to anyone else and what's the answer.

    Not sure you need a heat belt this time of year, it could ferment too fast once it starts.

    Just made 23ltrs of dark cascade with what i had in. 1.5 dark LME 1kg larger malt 300g sugar 70g Cascade hops. mashed the larger malt in 3ltrs at 66c in a 2gallon igloo cooler for 1 hour, never lost a degree. batch sparged with 6ltrs at 76c. topped boiler up to 30ltrs and the dark malt and...

    hi, give it a go and decide yourself, rememeber homebrew shops are there to make money, a kit maybe £15 and the barrons kit is £25 +. try several products and decide what you think is best, watch videos on youtube and watch what is being said on this forum. Kits are easy have a go.

    Hi. looking for some advice about cleaning my backer elements, is it ok to immerse them in lemon juice and then gently rub them with a pan scrubber or a soft cloth.
