    Coopers Ginger Beer Review

Coopers have changed the sweetener to sucralose, just tasted a bit while bottling and it's as gingerry as before but the sweetener is way nicer, so 3 weeks to carb up as directed and then into conditioning, i'd guess it wont need aslong as with the old sweeteners (they really took some time to...

    Coopers Sparkling Ale - Problem

from Coopers instructions: "in addition to 1.5kg Coopers Light Extract, the Sparkling Ale recipe requires 500g Light Dry Malt & 300g Dextrose for optimum results" the coopers website and forum are well worth a read too anyway i hope you have a good idea of where you stand with this kit in...

    Coopers Sparkling Ale - Problem

having left out the 500g light DME your beer will be slightly less alcoholic, slightly less body and maybe a little less malty brew at ~19c if possible it's going to be lovely and not at all far off the intended end product

Have I killed my Coopers Pilsener

that kit comes with a lager yeast, so if not fermented at/below 12c or so it may well come out slightly different to the makers intention :) enjoy it anyway though eh? :)

brewing lager at 20c? Bottle conditioning?

try a coopers australian (original series) lager, it comes with an ale yeast so no ferment temp worries. i'd say always pour bottled homebrew, and do so carefully aswell, condition properly and chill to make the yeast (sediment i should say..), less likely to swim out while you pour, or you...

    Coopers Original Stout Review

anybody else run out of stout then drink something else while trawling the forums for stout posts? @ Archtronics, it's also a firm favourite of mine, my brew isn't too different from yours and i completely agree with your review, although i brew it to 20l it is still indeed an easy drinker...

    Please say it is ok?!

some interesting and encouraging stuff there! not just for the OP i love the coopers stout too, i dont think i would like that much bitterness but i'd love to try one of someone else's 2can stout so i could be sure, i've been told before it's way too bitter, i'm intrigued now though, only one...

    Please say it is ok?!

going out on a limb here but, if it were me and i were worried about undrinkable bitterness (after all i could be all wrong about using 2 kit cans of stout in 23l being too bitter), i would no splash siphon it off into 2 new vessels, then siphon into each tepid bottled or preboiled water up to...

    Please say it is ok?!

actually, assuming cocoa is non fermentable, and assuming a total of 23 litres, you have probably an OG 1.085 and an FG of potentially 1.019, meaning an ABV of ~9.5 % it will have a lot of body, and will be seriously bitter if you did indeed use 2 stout kit cans as opposed to one kit and one...

    Please say it is ok?!

won't it be massively bitter with 2 kit cans of stout? i mean the kit can plus a can of extract yes, but 2 cans of hopped extract in i assume 23 litres or less, i always thought that was a no-go due to the double bitterness..? anyway i'm glad it's fermenting, i'm sure it will make real beer...

good luck with yer JB lager and yer budget keg, glad someone's up to date, or soon to be my schedule went to **** with a certain companys lack of stock, i ended up getting a youngs 6 bottle wine kit from wilkos and some demijohns, it all just seems so alien, i mean, wine? anyway a lack of beer...

    Removing Bottle Labels

when i collect oldies from people (usually with a nice spot of mould in the bottom), i fill them and soak them in a big plastic box with water with 5-10% bleach for 12 hours or so , then use a bluntish flat blade knife to scrape them off and a green scratchy washing up pad to get the last of the...
