Geting ready for AG, make shift mash tun workable?

It's definitely addictive, the hobby that is not the fruits of :D Does it matter if some debris makes it through? Will it just settle out in the FV?

Geting ready for AG, make shift mash tun workable?

Pittsy you are certain very active on the forum my man. Will definitely get some insulation, only thing that bothers me most is the bag not keeping all the particle and carp from the grains in when sparging, the holes on the bottom seem a little large, will have to get a picture up later.

Never tried galaxy hops- going for a smsh

Love the taste of old golden hen because of the galaxy hops but it does lack punch and fullness of the hop so I want to try and make a brew with these, really looking forward to hearing about your results.

OK, second beer kit is bottle conditioning and my shiny pot is sitting all empty and untouched, what to do? Order a grain bill is what :D That's exactly what I did, ordered my grains and hops from the sponsorship in the link at the top of this page, I'm jumping straight in to AG and...

    AG ingrediants

Just put my order in form one of the sponsors and they are great value, on the same lines does it make a great deal of difference how long the grains will last if they are already crushed?

first grain brew, hows does this look.

If i cut the Marris Otter to 3.5kg that gives an estimated 5.5% Abv, does that seem more palatable? also on the beer calculus pittsy i take it that batch size is what im aiming for my batch to finish at after the boil and when it says BOIL XX AVG LITRES FOR 60 MINUTES under hop additions this...

Fermentation finished, does this look fine?

So the Mexican Cervza has been in the FV for just under 3 weeks, pitched saflager s-23 yeast at 18c and over the course of 24 hours got the temp down to 13c and it sat between 12-14c since. SG 1047 and FG is 1009 and has sat at that for 3 days so i have warmed the FV up to 18c to start a...

stainless pot on its way :D

I'm pretty hyped, I have a burco 10l urn with from what I can see a 3kw element in I got for free so that is being stripped and fitted, ill get a thermometer and sight glass fitted and it should be a pretty cheap effective boiler/HLT. The element is a base fitting element so I'll have to...

where's all the AG brewers gone

Where does all this segregation come from? Seriously i look at this as one big hobby. Beer is beer and how you get there is you own business. as long a you are brewing your own what does it matter in wich direction an innocent forum scripted question is directed.... I havnt even tasted any of...

where's all the AG brewers gone

Hope you don't mind me asking this in here but it seems appropriate place as any and no hijack intended. What is the average brew size for you AG men? with brew days being several hours longer and far more involved than the kit ones do you tend to get it all in one big brew day or do you still...
