I've a bit of Nelson left over, I'm currently using it up on a brew with a mix of Nelson, Citra and Cashmere hops, No idea how it will turn out though as I've never brewed this before though
You don't really. Scotland and Ireland are madey up teams aka heritage. Ireland I think has one player born in Ireland in the whole squad. The real tournament will be the semi finals and final, that will be the real high level rugby
That gave me a chuckle! In fairness though I'm Union through and through, but I'm really looking forward to the business end of things, league is a great game and the Aussies are a special rugby team
I'm really starting to think these kits have it in for me! I'm just brewing up a no sugar wine kit, but when I poured the grape juice into the fermenter it looked to be filled with what looked like clumps of tissue. On further investigation it seems to be like small clumps of scum. I wondering...
Drinking a Cascade/Azacca IPA where I got the brews mixed up and dry hopped with the completely wrong hops, the result has been eh mixed, but I've got 20 bottles of this and I'm going to drink every one!
Anecdotal but I got an infection this time last year, feel it was fruit flies but ended up running a couple of batches afterwards too. Bleached the barrel but didn't help, I just replaced the fermenter and problem went away, all the other equipment I used was fine.
Got ya now, I was more worried it never started fermentation than it stalled (I never took a starting gravity). I haven't really made much wine only beer and I'll get it in the neck if I end up with 50 quids worth of drain cleaner haha
Hi all I was brewing up a concentrate kit for the SO (Solomon Grundy Pinot Grigio), I had it it in the fermenter for a week and didn't pay any attention to it unfortunately. It was meant to be fully fermented in a week but when I took the FG it was still over 1050 and I belatedly realised I...
This is a brilliant thread - I've been making the 10 Litre all grain batches and after a wobbly start I’ve been having great results
I was wondering if I wanted to scale up what goes into the fermenter to 20 litres but didn’t have the equipment could I add a kilo or so of dry malt pre boil so I...
To give you the full info FTTC is fibre up to the cabinet - then up to the last two kms are copper, FTTP is a fibre line the whole way to your house from the exchange (hence the much higher speeds)
Thanks .. going by that calculator 140g is fine. It makes sense in a rule of thumb sort of way - if you use carbonation drop 4g x 40 bottles would be 160g. If anything 85g would seem a tad low for OP
