    Woodforde's Wherry on the go

    I bottled my wherry 4 weeks ago. It tastes superb! I tried a couple of bottles in between and it was good after about 2wks but if you can, wait at least a month as it is now superb!! Trouble is I only a few bottles left :rofl: Must learn to be patient ;) :nah:

    Thanks for the advice, i didnt realise they had to be stored in the dark!! One thing i did notice is a slight film on the top of the beer??? It developed in the fv and now some of the bOttles have it too, is this normal or do i have a problem??

    Ahhh now Im getting confused! :wha: :) The thing is, this recipe doesnt actually state any different so...................... The spitfire stated 500grams at the start and then 2.5kg at 15 to go, which would ring true with what you say alanywiseman :wha: :)

    Hi Rob I boil 2 gallons and place in the FV to cool then boil a further 3 gallons to make the wort. I havent tasted the spitfire yet but the instructions said to add the majority of the spraymalt at 45mins (15 to go). Is this not good practice in general then?
