Returning to home brewing after many years I bought 4 Youngs 25l fermenting bins from ebay. The lids are secured with a moulded "skirt" that runs around the circumference of the lid. The problem is none of the lids provide an airtight seal and I'm wondering this is by design or poor...
Is it feasible to store beer post fermentation and prior to bottling up to a period of say 4-6 weeks? I've some containers akin to polypins that I'm thinking could be used.
Just to say hello and thanks for letting me in! I'm just about to start wine making and brewing again after a break of quite a few years and looking forward to revisiting some of the old country wine and beer recipes.
