Started a 4.5/5 gallon wine that was at 1.068 ...went down to 1.020 and i added a kg of sugar ...went upto 1.026.. now i have split it into 1 gallon demijohns.... say it brews out to about 1.000 I am no good at maths....how much extra sugar would i need to put in each gallon to get a wine about...

A good friend owed me a favour or two and I wanted somewhere to put the home brew as running out of room... this is the plans that we came up with now got room for about 120 bottles of wine plus demijohns underneath Also can keep bottles of beer on the right hand side...

Got a ribena wine on the go...start OG was 1.90...now stuck at 1.50..tried pitching some different yeast and nutri but still nothing...bubbles still rising but very few and also hardly any airlock.... also got a robinson one the go...started on Friday and still hardly any airlock activity ...

Looking at putting a cider on for SWMBO and read quite a few of the "how to" guides (many thanks) Would i be able to use the John Bull Country Cider kit then short brew it and add Cranberry and blueberry juice or even cherry/cranberry or does that only work with the AJ way??

Just need to put my mind at rest Went to top up the two DJ and put the kettle on and left it to cool down but when I added it did not realise that SWMBO has boiled it 10-15 mins earlier for a brew The airlock is going mad and so are the bubbles rising the morning after as did it last nite...

Had these two DJ sat in the cold for 3 weeks now...added bentonite which did not work then added some kwik clear...and now its day 6 after that and still not clearing.... Any advice or is it down the sink time and I have messed up somewhere????

Just got a new shed that intend to keep the beer and wine in as run out of room in the house.... Anything I need to look out for as just worried it will get too hot/cold and ruin it??

Just got another two WOW on the go but put a bit too much tannin in ...picked up the wrong bottle and put teaspoon and a bit in...now got a "clump" of it in the bottom of each DJ.....is it any good or time to start again???

Been looking through the forum for a couple of days and cant work out what some letters mean... Is there a "guide" on here for that?? e.g worked out that FV is fermenting vessle and WOW is the wine one, DJ is demijohn and PEP is a plastic container etc but most of the others I cant :oops...
