    I just brewed a wherry using the wilko one can starter kit that came with the FV, pet bottles, a tube for syphon, Sterilising fluid and a spoon. I have since bought a hydrometer. What should I look at buying equipment wise next without breaking the bank. I was thinking an airlock and better syphon

    I've got one but as it was only one can kit it's not deep enough. The beer has been in the FV for 11 days as opposed to the kits 7. No signs of anything bad looking or smelling and cupboard temp was averaging around 17.5 which would give a slower ferment. I'll bottle it...see how I go

    I managed to go 6 days without peaking....very brief look in and there's a nice frothy layer on top. I've been monitoring temperatures in the area where the FV is....range seems to be 17-18 degrees so I'm thinking my brew may take a little longer. Is it correct that I'm waiting for that top...
