    4 weeks in

Had a taste test after being in the kingkeg fr 4 weeks. Its the Youngs lager kit. Tasted fine, but when I opened the tap, the gas was getting less as I was getting further to the top of the glass. Beer was a touch foggy but taste wise just wasnt quite fizzy enough. Wine DEFINATELY not clearing

Over a week ago i posted that my wine wasnt clearing a week in. 2 1/2 weeks later the wine hasnt cleared one bit, still looks orangey. Suggestions? I have a filter, would more finnings help the cause? I also have another demijohn, is it worth transferring so I would have minimal sediment? Cheers.

    Red and Green grape juice

Bought some from asda at it was fairly cheap, 2 for £1.50. The thing is it is 100% grape juice but not from concentrate, will these be ok to use in wines? do they need boiling to rid of any preservatives or addys? Cheers.

    Tap on fermenting bin

I have a spare tap for a kingkeg pressure barrel and I was thinking of fitting it to my fermenting bin to make syphoning easier. Any pros/cons? Is there a certain height i should use otherwise the sediment will transfer too.

    Vinbrite MK3 filter

Does anyone use this filter? i have the old type not the upgraded 2002 model. Basically i bought some demijohns, and some Bits n pieces in which i have aquired this filter. Can I use the later filters with the old type? Does it make a difference to clearing the wine? Any info is greatly appreciated.

    Pneumatic pipe fittings

There is a shop in Cardiff called BSP pneumatics which can supply through connections, T's, elbows, reducers, and pipe work. We used to use them for repairing trucks, but looking through the net the connections are the same. they are cheaper than bar suppliers and we have used them in the bar i...

    Two different instrustions

The advice given on the label of my youngs wine kit states to agitate the wine at least 6 times in 24hrs after adding the finnings. The instructions on the finnings said to stir well and leave to stand. When they say to agitate is it to give it a good shake or to just give it a stir because i...
