Turbo yeast used ;) bubbling well, gonna be a headache drink this one.

Yeast nutrient works a treat and the yeast is so far working well, bubbling like a trooper already :)

Mine finished so racked it, just started another with blackberry polish syrup. Just checked and a potential abv of 24% :) rocket fuel, anyone want the recipe let me know

These are pretty nice, realised also they are youngs branded, went back and got 20 more boxes and now show up at £1 each :)

Works perfect, used it myself along with youngs in another batch, both same.

Just bought 9 of these is tesco for £14, was labelled as £7 something each but self scanner kept on reducing, bought 2 apple and 7 blueberry, shelf = empty. Paid and ran! Lets see how these turn out, anyone else tried there's?

Didn't want a strong one for a first batch taste as never made it so want to increase levels as i enjoy it more. Used the wilkos branded wine yeast universal one. Plenty enough head space oh yes! Ive seen a few disasters on here to know to leave room :)

OK, sorry if in wrong section but wanted to post :) Anyways....done my first batch today of apple cider, got 3 demijohns for £7 so thought, cant leave them all empty so need filling. Ingredients 1.5L Asda Smart Price 50% Concentrate Apple Juice x3 100g Sugar (Dextrose) 5g Wilkos Wine Yeast...

Just made mine done a raspberry and a strawberry, found it local in polish shop cheaper than asda. Felt like I was going to get stabbed at first walk in but could not be more helpful.

Bought my juice from asda, smart price brand 50% concentrate...currently fermenting. Will average out at 20-21pence per pint :) 50 pints on the go...

What size are these Demi johns? Are they 5l? Also in the instructions it says about wine yeast, are there variants say for white and red? Or is a universal one ok?
