    AG#5.........again

Hi All, looking to rebrew this tomorrow. Loved the first, decided to try losing the pale malt and replace with more Golden Promise. Also shifting the hop additions to later in the brew. Plus I may swap the yeast from Nottingham to S-04. Haven't made my mind up. Anyhow the orginal recipe is here...

Recently had this beer, from Thwaites "craft" arm. Great American IPA, really hoppy, possibly my favourite bottled beer at the mo.

    AG#4.....again

Looking to brew my wheat beer again. Looking forward to this as I really liked the first http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=49051 but believe a few tweaks will make it special. Keeping the Saison liked the spicy notes it imparted, but will look to increase the orange peel...

    Across The Pond... #3AG again...

Hi All, Looking to rebrew my Across the Pond APA with some changes. I really liked the first (http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=48322), so I guess essentially this is a different brew. Looking for zesty spiceness hence the change in yeast, addition of rye malt, late...

Buffalo Boiler keeping BIAB off of the element

Hi All, Recently got a B condition 40l Buffalo Boiler from Nisbets for £85 'ish delivered. Tested it boiling 40l seems to work fine, looks brand new to me. However, I'll be BIAB'ing and want to find a good cheap way to keep the bag off of the element :hmm: . I wish it to be at least 6 cm...

    how much reclaimed yeast?

Hi All, Looking to try and reclaim yeast from 'Proper Job' and 'Single Brew' commercial beers in the near future. Currently I only brew 10l batches, so my question is can I use only part of any grown yeast or should I pitch it all? Cheers..

    Young Heckled Wren....AG#2 again

Hi All, The re-brewing of my first 5 brews continues with my second brew. The original got much better with age and is still improving after 10 weeks+ since bottling, turned into a nice ale. I never posted the original recipe so here it is: Young Heckled Wren Original Gravity (OG): 1.054...

    Grapefruit and Honey APA......#1AG again

Hi All, Well I've had my 5th AG brew in the FV for 10 days now. So time to redo my 5 recipes and seek improvement. So today I re-brewed my first ever beer 'Grapefruit and Honey APA'. Not really any need for change as this was an AG kit which was very good...

Hi All, Will be bottling my American wheat beer tomorrow and am planning a new brew for the weekend using just First Gold hops. Mainly because I'm a fan of Badger's First Gold, although mine isn't meant to be a clone. Anyroad hope it'll go to plan. If any one spots any issues please give me a...

    Do fermentation times change?

Hi All, Just started brewing so please be kind. I've found a couple of recipes I'd like to try, however I currently only brew 1 gallon batches. So with the recipes I find I divide by the required amount to get the correct amount of ingredients. Therefore my question is do the fermentation...
