    Help/Inspiration/Recipe needed please

Sounds good, will this be a wine or can it be carbonated? Do I add a tea for tannin? Thanks

    Help/Inspiration/Recipe needed please

Hi guys, I need your help. I've got 2x1litres of apple juice, 1x1litre Orange Juice, 1x1litre pineapple juice. 1or2kg of sugar, pectolase, yeast nutrient, orange wine yeast, cider yeast and general purpose wine yeast. Plus all the brewing equipment. Demijohns etc. Ideally I would love to make 2...

    Re: Festival Razorback IPA Review

It's getting better, conditioned nicely and chilled in the fridge. Not bad in the end.

    Re: Festival Razorback IPA Review

Update time, this tasted great in the FV, I bottled it and conditioned it in the warm then cool. To be honest it's not a patch on how it tasted in the FV. I'm quite disappointed to be honest. I've had a dozen bottles or so and I'm just not enjoying it. What do you guys think? Would it be better...

    Re: Festival Razorback IPA Review

Doesn't seem much per bottle, just a bit less than 2.5gm doesn't seem enough. Or is it?

    Re: Festival Razorback IPA Review

I'm bottling this tomorrow, what's the general recommendation on the amount of brewing sugar to use? I'm thinking of 150gm basically 50gm more than supplied.

    Wilko chocmeister stout

My brother brewed this one and it's come out of conditioning now, it's a really nice stout, lots of caramel and roasted flavours, you can't really tell it's a kit. It's got a slight chocolate smell but no chocolate taste which is the only disappointment with the brew. Over all though it's a...

Thanks guys, I thought the instructions were a bit optimistic at 10 days.

    Re: Festival Razorback IPA

I've had a break from kit beer brewing but have got this one in the fv right now, it's been in for 2 weeks and it's down to 1.012 the instructions say it should be 1.005, will it go down that far do you think? I drank the trial jar and it tastes bloody lovely!

    Brewferm bottle conditioning

Will it has fermented down to 1011 in 4 days! Didn't expect that!!

    Brewferm bottle conditioning

Slight hijack, I put this kit on last Friday. It looks to have been fermenting it's left about 2-3cm of Krausen residue on the side of the fermentation bucket and the lid was pushed up with co2 but I've not seen any bubbles come through the airlock. As it's only a 12 litre brew and my bucket is...

    Homebrew Twang??

How about if you keg a kit beer? Does the 'twang' disappear then? I've just got a keg and planning on putting the festival razor back IPA in it.

    Youngs American IPA

I've got one of these I found in the back of the cupboard. Unfortunately it's about 3 years out of date. Does the malt go off? I've got some new yeast (mangrove jack's east coast IPA) I could use but I don't want to waste my time of it's too far gone. What do you guys think?

Cider yeast, how much do I add?

Well I am pleased to report that 3g of yeast works a treat and the Cherry Cider turned out great, I'm really pleased with it! No overpowering yeast taste at all. Next one I'm going to brew is a Lowitz Raspberry and Lemon Cider.

    Your 'go to' wine kit?

How long are you leaving the Beaverdale kits to mature in the bottle?

Cider yeast, how much do I add?

I chanced my arm and put 3g in, it's started, and bubbling away nicely! I used Mangrove Jack's Cider yeast has anyone else tried it?

3g is being a bit tight then do you think? ;)

Cider yeast, how much do I add?

Hi all, doing a 1 gallon cherry syrup turbo Cider, using 4 litres of AJ and half a Lowitz cherry plus all the other ingredients. How much yeast do I need? One 10g sachet is good for 5 gallons so will 3g do the job? I can keep the rest for other brews or do I need more? Thanks
