    stuck brew

    Afternoon all I have had a 24pt brew of hedcracker on for 2 weeks I have had the same SG reading for the last 4 days the OG was 1.060 my readings are 1.016 it is clearing down nicely, my question is would anyone advise on this brew and is it ready to bottle now.     Morning all I have just noticed a rather large quantity of still water containers 18.5L capacity from a well known water supplier looking rather lonely has anyone used them for brewing and if so how did you adapt the cap for use. Answers on a postcard please. Bob

    Returning to the fold

    Hi Have just started to brew beer again ater a 30 odd year break wifey bought me a starter kit for Crimbo from Wilko's which included 2 cans bitter from ibrew, well the results are far improved from what it used to be in the 80's. All went according to the recipe made in 2 batches of 20pints...

    returning to home brew

    Hi I am approaching retirement and as a way of keeping busy and saving money I have decided to return to home brew after a break in the process of some 30 years so I appreciate that things have advanced and changed, but am willing to listen to advice and struggle to produce a decent pint. Bob
