I had a whiff of my supermarket juice brew and even though I added yeast nutes it smells if eggs which come from the airlock. I've read the forum and it appears its either a lack of nutes or just to leave it.

I was wondering if I can add more nutrients or just leave it?

Hi there,
What yeast did you use? How much yeast did you use? Was it dry pitched or pitched as a starter? How much neutrient did you add to the 1 gallon batch please?

It was Wilko Gervin Universal Yeast (5g) which was added to the sugar and juice mix right away. I also added Pectose and the yeast nutes at 1 teaspoon per gallon (I'm doing 5lts)

I am sure i have read the reason you get the egg small is because there is not enough nutrient, if you have added a teaspoon it should be enough but adding another will not do any harm, any not used by the yeast will settle when you clear the wine.

*see

I added it in and within a few hours it started to smell better. Now it smells very nice!
