Planning on doing this sometime this week. I want a refreshing citrus pale ale. Feedback welcome as always.:thumb:
Lemon Pale Ale 18l batch 1 hour boil BIAB

OG 1.046
FG 1.011
ABV4.58%
IBU 27.26
SRM 7.22

2.8kg Maris Otter
500g Torrified Wheat
200g Crystal medium

45g Saaz @60
20g dried lemon peel @10
10g Hallertau once cools to 80C

White Labs Yeast California Ale WLP001 starter

Will probably dry hop but undecided as yet. If this goes well i will up the IBU's next time.
I could replace the MO with Lager Malt and i have plenty of Noble Hops and some Sorachi Ace. Also i have some WLP 840 American Lager Yeast i could try next time.

I think you'll need to use some of your sorachi ace late/post boil to get a bit of citrus in there

I made a starter last night and checked this morning and its going nuts. I plan to pitch half of this and save the rest. Hopefully i can do this this evening after i clean out my boiler. Been a bit lazy and forgot.

Missed my efficiency with this one, should of been 1046- 1010 18liters and i got 1040-1004 16litres. Added 10g more of lemon peel steeped in boiling water and 5g of Amarillo and Citra when it cooled to 80c. All i had left 10 days ago. Got a strong hoppy taste but little aroma. Looking forward to trying this out in a few weeks. Very clear on bottling.
