Hi All,
I read some recipes for a pilsner that had undertones of apple / pear and intend to brew my own version of this. To that end im proposing:

4KG Pilsner Malt
0.5KG Toasted Wheat
100g Amber Malt

60C 140F / 40 mins
70C 163F / 30 mins
78C 172F / 10 mins

Boil for 90
70 - 30g Tettnang
20 - 10g Tettnang / 10g Calypso
0 - 20g Calypso

1.5L Apple Juice in FV, top up to 23l.

2 Packs of Saflafer S23.

In the Ferm Fridge for 3 weeks at 12C, rack to secondary and 3 weeks at 4C, bottle
I will prime with Carb Drops (one per 330ml Bottle). Should give an OG around 1.050 and target FG of 1.009 - ABV 5.3%
Though i am going to prime approx 5l using Lowicz Raspberry syrup around 8ml (~7g sugar) to give a fruity flavour and see how that turns out.

I may drop hop some additional calypso if the fruity flavours aren't in the background enough.

This is my first go at not following someone else's recipe so keen for thoughts :) I have Saaz, Hull Melon, Magnum, Hallertau Mittlefruh if any of those would be better?

Thanks for any input!
