I have been following links and ended up at Coopers website , wherein I found a whole list of recipes for extract brews based around their one can kits .Theres some quite interesting stuff for those who may want to branch out a bit without fulling taking up the cowl , signing away their soul and moving over to the Dark Side .

There are various categories with several recipes in each , this for example , looks nice...

....and I daresay that any similar kit or can of extract would do the job just as well . I am not advertising Coopers , even though they seem to be market leaders at the moment , just linking to another resource that people may find useful . Have fun ! :cheers:
 
As far as I can tell, the recipies on the website would give you better results than just throwing in a load of sugar in with the base kits. That is good and if you want to take the next step in brewing then go ahead and have fun. As they say, when the dark side calls, you will know.

Personally I think getting a copy of Brewing Classic Styles and following some of their basic extract/ partial mash recipes will give you a better brew to fit your pallet.
