Was up fairly early this morning to get the HLT on for 8am and was all done for 12:30 so not a bads mornings work. Its an old favourite that has been influenced by Worthington White Shield and Donnington SBA.

I used some WYeast London Ale 1028 that I washed from a brew a few months ago so hopefully it will be a good match for this beer.

That looks nice, how did you manage a 90 min mash a 90 min boil and still be done in 4 1/2 hours

Boil was only 75mins and I cheated a bit with the mash - I've changed it now. The 8.8 kw/hr propane brunrer makes mincemeat out of a 5 gallon brew.

8am - HLT went on.
8:30am - Mash
9:50am - Added first batch sprarge water
10:00am - First runoff
10:10am - Second batch sparge & first batch into copper and flame on.
10:20am - Runoff - second batch.
10:30am - First batch already boiling - second lot added.
10:40am - Full boil
11:55am - Flame out.
12:10pm - runoff and then through the CFC
12:30pm - Pitch yeast.

Want overpowered gas setup!

I've been reading too many yank forums where they have 10 gallons to strike temp in 15 minutes.
