I have had a few kits now stop at 1020 for no reason. I just ended up bottling them in the end and they actually turned out fine! Wherry is a common one to stop there.

Hi, Just started AG#8 this morning (JW Lees Bitter clone) and made a bit of a mistake right from the start and it would have ended up a lot cooler for the mash than it should be. I ended up adding a lot more water (say 5 litres + I lost count in the panic!) to get the temperature up...

Hi, As the subject says I am sure there are others who have done this. Wort is now chilled but I forgot to put the hop filter on :oops: Any ideas what I should do? My thoughts are to leave it to settle a bit and syphon (probably into a sterilised sieve). Any other suggestions? Thanks

I have been wondering about that actually piddledribble. The last time I made a beer it was cooler so next time I will reduce the boil off% It is fermenting though so we shall see what the outcome is.

I also use that tun although I put foam insulation spray in the lid. Only done one brew (ever) but it worked perfectly and lost no heat.
