Yep when I start brewing again I will go to glass bottles. They have offered me 6 cases of plastic bottles for half price as a good will gesture!

Hi guys not been on for a while. I bought my coopers kit about 3 years ago I am now finding that the bottles are delaminating which causes them to leak CO2 resulting in flat beer. I have emailed the manufacturers and they said there was a problem with bottles then but even now the bottles still...

If you do move it to a secondary fv try adding isinglass it will definately help clearing it.

I have the same tackle and leaving the ring in or taking it out makes hardly any difference. The most important thing is to leave it fermenting for longer and soon as you bottle get another brew on!

Was candi sugar all you added?

I am always 2 or 3 brews ahead but this I think I may just do the 9 litre kit then it won't take up to many bottles. Where do you buy candi sugar I read the post and I doubt I will have the time to make it!

Just tried my first bottle of this and it is very good probably the best lager I have done!

I am going to order this kit soon and double up to make 18 litres I am hoping it ends up like leffe but do I need to add anything like Dme or Lme or sugar?

The 2 kits I would recommend are brupaks west riding wheat which you can get for £22.50 on art of brewing or muntons connoisseur wheat which I do with there beer enhancer. Both are excellent.

I use normal tap water and it turns out fine every time. The hop tea bag really adds to the kit let me know how it turns out.

I do this kit all the time just brewed exactly as the instructions say and it makes a very good erdinger clone no need to add anything.
