I’ll let it mature in that case.
I have tried it and it is a bit over the top, will report back as it improves, hopefully
Have also brewed a back up brew with cascade and motueka just in case.
So.... I had a brew day with a friend of mine the other week and I left him with 21 litres of fermenting beer and 14g of ekaunot hops to dry hop it a week later. The hops are about 11.5% AA
Now my friend isn’t too experienced in brewing and, according to his wife, struggles to listen. This has...
Thanks, will look to brew this soon then.
Here's the link for the video I got this from in case anyone else wants to see it

Hi,
I've found this recipe for a Motueka SMASH that looks really good but it's only for a 9.5lt BIAB.
If I wanted to do twice that volume, not in a bag, would I just double the quantities?
Also would I just be able to use a pale malt instead of the NZ ale malt?? What's the recommendation...
Thanks Terry,
It would make sense that the priming has little to do with the head given all we go through to get to the bottling stage.
In that case I'll just use normal sugar in a batch prime.
Will also check the bottles to make sure they're clean in case that's an issue
Hi all,
Just after some advice on what sugar to use for priming.
I've completed a few kits now and have migrated on to AG brews with some AG kits and have recently ventured into recipes and ordering grain. I currently have a raspberry wheat beer in secondary FV which has been in with the...
Thanks all
Johnny, that makes sense
So I have one last daft question, is there a calculator, or a rule of thumb, for water volumes for mash, sparge and boil??
Hi,
I want to buy some a beer kit from the Malt Miller, specifically the raspberry wheat beer for 11.5l.
The kit includes the malt and hops and I've added a Safale S-04 to go with it ( as it was in the recommended bit below the kit), does this sound like a decent yeast to go with?
Also as...
Thanks for replying. I think, in light of the co2 issue, it might be better to do or the other
I'll get some bottles and a bottling wand and try that for my first go
Hi,
I'm just about to come to the end of the fermentation of my first ever brew and I'm looking at what comes next.
My starter kit from wilkinsons came with an FV without a tap and a pressure barrel with a tap.
I'm beginning to think that a whole barrel might be a bit too much for me to drink...
Well I've had my kit in the FV for 2 weeks now and just tested the SG.
It's gone from 1040 to 1016 so far and I'll check it again on Christmas eve to see where I am then.
I also tasted the sample taken and it tastes good. Can't wait for the final product now
I think I'm going to bottle some...
