    Bergland Stockpot

Order a 33 litre and found the price amazing at £35 quid with delivery! Hoping I can get some advice if anyone can help. For AG do folk boil with a false bottom or a bag? I am just unsure, I ve never seen this but thought i'd ask. Where did you get the pot for £35? Have Bergland.started...

    STC-1000

No there's plenty of room - just an early build photo as you said. A dremel went through the lid in about a minute! This is for my HLT, so I only have a hardwired hot IEC plug

    Swap Qmax cutters

My sentiments exactly - there must be quite a few people who have only used or will need to use a cutter for a few holes! Danb - thanks for the link, but at £17 Inc p&p that's the cost of an AG kit for one element hole! I have 3 holes left to do in the boiler. After that I'll volunteer my...

    Swap Qmax cutters

Need to borrow a 1 1/2" Qmax cutter (only 1 hole to do in the HLT so £20 could be better spent on ingredients!) I have a 21mm cutter that I can swap out in return if anyone is in need.

    Max boil volume

Just went to upgrade to a 50lt and saw the Bergland thread

    Max boil volume

You're right on both accounts - especially when reading US forums! Which would probably lead me to think that I would get 19Lt post boil volume at the same ratio. Might have to spark out for a 40Lt shiny and use this as a HLT.

    Max boil volume

I've confused myself massively with boil volumes, between US quarts, US Gallons and litres when trying to work out the boil volume I can go to. Basically I have a 28.5lt pot (to the absolute rim), which is 30 US Qt or 6.2 US Gallons/7.5 Imperial Gallons. If I were to do a normal 3 Vessel Boil...

Posted the wrong link - it's being sold on Amazon by Bailihoo who are at the top of the forum as sponsors. £13.95 + £3 p&p ordering directly through the link and they will see more of that. http://www.balliihoo.co.uk/bottle-rinser-quick-and-easy-way-to-rinse-sterilise-your-bottles-p-40.html

    Bottle Rinsing

the Homebrew company has them cheaper - I think they may be on offer too http://www.thehomebrewcompany.co.uk/bottle-rinser-steriliser-red-p-580.html

    Bottling

For pint bottles like Magners, the return rate is normally £1.20 per case of 12. Offer the landlord 15p a bottle and you're both laughing! The Pear Magners, Rekorderlig and Kopparberg bottles aren't normally uplifted. I'm (hopefully) getting 4 dozen Kopparberg bottles today
