I did add it at the start but wondered if the grape juice that i added would mean it needed more. Would more finnings help or would it affect the flavour maybe?

This stuff seems like it's taking ages to clear! Shoud I add some more finnings? Or maybe pectolase? Does grape juice contain pectin?

I think it may well be off then - mine tasted lovely - just like a shop bought dry white!

I was just experimenting really - the first batch was quite strong - i used 1kg sugar instead of the 800g in the recipe. Its one of those wines that you take a sip and go WOW thats strong (excuse the pun lol) I like it that way but not to everyones taste.

I added 500ml of pure white grape juice to each DJ of WOW to backsweeten after adding the campden tablets and then put in my finings. Is this the correct way to backsweeten? It seems to be taking a bit longer to clear than my first batch which I didnt backsweeten.

Ok 2 dj's of standard WOW rached off and clearing. I fancied a change so 1 DJ Red grape and orange The other - I found some DEL Monte Orange and Watermellon on the reduced rack in ASDA down to 69p from £2 something has anyone tried this yet?? Can't wait to try the outcome!

Just bottled my 1st batch and its beautiful. Mrs twist quite liked it too :D drinking 1 bottle now and saving the other 3 to mature. I didnt top up at all and was only left with 4 bottles after racking and bottling. Its got a lovely fruity taste and is crystal clear. You can taste the alchohol...

Sorry about the sick analogy - thats mainly down to Mrs Twist lol It's difficult to see past that to the loveliness that evolves from it i suppose.

well theres nothing happening - it looks finished and the sg is around 1010 - might leave a few more days and throw some finnings in

Well my first ever WOW is clearing nicely in a 5 litre water container found another DJ in the shed and now have 2 more on the go! I hope this stuff is nice! Sure it is :)

well i did sample a little :oops: and it tasted ok just looks like a water sample at the moment lol

its been 7 days and its around 1010

No I only have the one but nothing ready to brew - have a couple of wow's on the go in my dj's
