    Wilko Golden IPA

Hi Just a quick question, I put the above on, Saturday. Malt as supplied, 300g of H and B malt extract, 500g of LSM, 100g brewing sugar. Fermenter into gorilla bucket at a regulated 19 deg @ 1045 Now my question is, by Wednesday it was sat at 1014, this seems massively quick or is this just...

Aaaaaawwww!!!! What happened??. All those questions and then we get to the most important reply …… nothing! iv just put the exact same on 3 days ago and it’s going like a train 1045 - 1030 in 3 days, I was hoping to hear how the hoping went and if it needed any pimping. come back Markus...

How much sugar needed for carbonation...

Fantastic idea, il give it a try! Ref dissolving, I think sugar will dissolve in most liquids in seconds not to mention one with yeast in.

    Evil Dog IPA

I find the glass can make a big difference, no disrespect intended but the glass in your picture looks like B+M job. The pub glasses with the sparkler dimples in the bottom seem to really hold head retention, along with a long pour. Don‘t ask me where you can buy pub glasses though :tinhat:

    Hop pellets

Has anyone mentioned a syphon sock? Festival kits come with one supplied, or they used to. After cold crashing virtually nil sediment transfer in my experience.

    1st Low Alcohol Brew

Evening all. Apologies if this doesn’t belong in this thread but I’d like some advice on brewing a very low/zero alcohol kit brew. I was thinking of just using the malt yeast and brewing very short?

    Setting up beer taps

What a nice thing to do and somewhere you may be spending quite some time this summer!? I’m not sure a plastic PB (if that’s what your suggesting) would be up to the job as I think the max psi is around 15. I think you would be looking at Cornelius keg. I’m sure you’ll get replies with more...

How long will my beer keep in a un-refrigerated corny keg?

Im thinking that’s where IPA originated? Indian Pale Ale. Highly hopped ale transported to India using hops to preserve/maintain taste? Iv got some Stout I bottled 4 years ago that’s been stored in a box in the garage (not through choice) tastes fine the treacle taste has fallen back but very...

    Better quality King keg cap

I think we were both typing at the same time Buffer! Your last post makes my last comment a bit redundant :coat:

    Better quality King keg cap

I haven’t read the full thread but I experienced a similar problem. I made a real hash of flattening the neck and the only way I could make the barrel air tight again was to use two O rings.

    And we worry about infection

Not sure why the lid would be lifted often? Unless Memory Hoarding is on the grain bill :beer1:

    Homebrew Centre Grimsby

Only just seen this. So sad to read, Heather and Sean were smashing couple always good for a laugh with an in depth knowledge, and some sublime organic honey. I made a point of using them over Wilko and t’ internet although I realise not everyone can afford to, but “when it’s gone, it’s gone”...
