thank you, i found the source it was the seal at the top inside the cap it had gone a funny shape :hmm: anyway i think i have sorted it, i put the seal back in the best i could then i wrapped thread with plumbers tape, and screwed the cap on as tight as i could, pumped it full of gas and hey...

no i bought a new cap with the brass threaded valve on it. so i just cant understand it. :cheers:

should i add more sugar to the lager and see if that works? :cheers:

i have check the valve and everything seems to be fine, sorry i dont know the make of the barrel, i got it from wilkinsons if thats any help. im new to all this :D :cheers:

its a white plastic barrel, i made sure that i had lubricated the seal round the tap and tightend it as tight as i could and i also lubricated the seal at the top and tightend that aswell. so i have no idea where the leak is coming from. :cheers:
