    I intend to barrel my barley wine ale. Should i use light or medium spraymalt for barley wine ? How much spraymalt should i use for a 5 gallon pressure barrel ? Im sure you should use more spraymalt than say cornsugar

    Do not use speckled hen blttles for your beer. I had 3 crack on me whilst capping them. Every other type of bottle has been fine so i know its not me.. they must have a weak neck or something,, just wasted 3 bottles of precious beer .does anyone know any other bottles to avoid using? :hmm:

    milton baby bottle steriliser for beer bottles ?

    Anyone used this to sterilise bottles. It is a no rinse steriliser. If its good enough for baby bottles surely its good enough for beer bottles?. It is available in any supermarket. What do you think ?

    spraymalt priming help required

    I want to prime my bottles with muntons light spraymalt instead of using sugar etc. How much spraymalt should I use for batch priming 5 gallons of ale? And how much woud I use to batch prime lager?

    bottle cleaning

    Anyone else use this method. Put bottles in dishwasher, replace tablet with cleaner and steriliser, put on highest temp, voila bottles cleaned, sterilised and dried in one go ready for beer to be put in to them. I use this method everytime and works a treat.

    What sizes do beer bottles come in. I was led to believe they are 12, 16 and 22 oz. The bottles I have are 500 ml which are sold inmost homebrew shops. 500ml doesn't equal 12, 16. Or 22 ounces. I purely want to know for measuring purposes. Any help most welcome
